Daddy still needs a dress shirt, though. Will cut that out tonight...
Saturday was spent making a gift for a dear friend. I'll give you a sneak peek now, but you'll have to wait to see the finished product.
A few alterations have to be made, then it's getting picked up on Wednesday and packed to cruise to Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Lucky dress... and lucky girl!
Yes, I did say "gift". She's my best friend, has been for 15 years, and I love her dearly. I'll have more Saturdays to sew, but when will she get to go on another cruise, ya know?
Time to get back to work, check back Wednesday for the "Final Reveal"!
**p.s. I love The Selfish Seamstress, and mean nothing disrespectful when I refer to her title. I really don't want to get on her bad side... to become a nemesis would be absolutely terrible. (Can I campaign for that?)

Oooh, that looks purty!! Can't wait for the reveal!!
Well, decide already ... you do or you do not want to be a SS Nemesis, which, of course, would increase your popularity immensely!
Very beautiful and generous! Can't wait to see the finished dress :)))
very, very nice!! And I think it would be awesome to be a selfish seamstress nemesis, that would be the best thing ever!
So pretty! I'm excited to see the full garment. :)
Your friend is so fortunate! She will soon be wearing a gorgeous custom sewn dress on a fun, relaxing cruise. I am sure she will think of you while she wears it.
That dress is looking beautiful and its in my fave color, periwinkle! What a wonderful gift for your good friend. Hey, that's what friendship is all about.
