Vintage Treasures

Thanks to the ladies that offered their advice and experiences with buying vintage patterns! I offered $150 for the box (which contained 150 patterns!) and she accepted! Woo

Here are just a few of my faves...

They are so much fun to just look at, I swear that I was born in the wrong decade!!!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Nice collection! I heard that some thrift shops use patterns to wrap purchases. Noooo! You might have saved some from that destiny.

Wow, using patterns to wrap merchandise. That hurts to hear. lol

Glad you got the patterns and found ones you really like! :)

What a great haul. Several years ago, I was straightening my sewing room. I collected a bag of older patterns and donated them to ARC. I so regret doing that. ARC gets all our donations, but I always wonder about the fate of those patterns. What on earth did I give away?

Such a great find! I have heard that some thrift stores use patterns to wrap stuff to, so I make sure that I tell the clerk every time that I WILL buy any vintage pattern they get, so don't use them to wrap stuff, lol.

Love the McCalls dress - the neck details are fantastic.
