Does This Make Me "Professional"?

After much research and inner debate, I took the plunge and ordered her!
Thanks for your advice and feedback, it really did give me food for thought.  I ended up "Making an Offer" on ebay for this full body form (plus an arm) from Roxy Display.  Their seller name on ebay is "dressformmall", and they quickly answered my question, and fairly quickly replied to my offer.  It was listed for $330 + $50 shipping, so I made an offer.  Then another. Then another.  Then got kicked off ebay (apparently there's a "3 strikes and you're OUT" rule with making offers), and re-registered and made my winning bid of $300.  Still paying shipping, but I saved $30, so I'm very, very happy.  I may still order the Fabulous Fit kit from amazon to make her perfectly me, but I want to get her home first.  Between this and my gravity feed iron, I'm feeling pretty powerful in the sewing studio these days!

I'm so EXCITED!!! Next task is to think of a name for her...

Gertrude? Emily? JoJo The Wonder Clown? No, no, wait! Chesty LaRue! (ala Homer Simpson... he changed Marge's name. Don't ask why I remember that.)

This is an excellent purchase, you are having a (well-deserved) FAB year so far!

I ordered the fab fit for my form. I will let you know how it turns out. I am a bit envious, but since I am just getting back into the hobby/craft/art, I simply couldn't justify the cost. Congrats and good luck to us both.

YAY!! My form is a Roxy and I LOVE her! I'm no good at names though - mine is still nameless. I like Kristine's idea - Chesty LaRue! Hah!

You're going to love her. I have had mine for a year. I call her "Mutt" and she has a short companion in the studio named "Jeff". I do a lot of draping on her. Did you get the arm, too?

OOOO... Lucky you! I just got one too - it's from Uniquely You, and I call her "Lady" because my son started referring to her as "Mom's Lady." Enjoy!

What a well deserved treat! I think you need to name her and invite us all to a dedication ceremony.;)

In the town I grew up in as a teenager, there was a strip joint that people came from miles to visit. The featured headliner was Busty Morgan. I say she should be called Busty.

I'd say that it makes you more professional - cause you are already that.

Quick! Put a flowing floral print dress and wide brimmed hat on her and serve up tea before Dr. Richard Kimble hunts her down!!

Sorry, that may have come off as slightly unprofessional, which we know you are NOT. Have fun!
