Found!

Last time I posted was Halloween, as life has been very full lately. Lots of added responsibility at work and many paid sewing jobs, along with making time for more exercise... I have been sewing goodies, but Blogging about it has fallen lower on the list of priorities. Do me a favor? If you like what you see, whether it is here or someone else's blog, please take a moment to just comment briefly. Feedback keeps me blogging, and I don't know about you, but no response makes me feel like either no one likes it, or one cares. Just a few words can really make all the difference in the world.

I will photograph the newest goodies very soon, but for today I will share my proudest accomplishment of the year: I am 20 pounds lighter since August 1st!

Before:

After:

I know they aren't the greatest before and after, but I'm definitely NOT posting the swimsuit before shot! Started in a size 12, and now wearing a size 8 (RTW).

Counting every calorie (www.sparkpeople.com), making smart food choices, and exercising 3 times a week (45 minutes of cardio and strength training) were all integral, but what really kept me on track was having DH doing it all alongside me, (reminding, nagging, and cheering each other along) kept me heading in the right direction. He's lost 20 pounds, too, and we are still working together to see where we end up.

Ok, time to get back to other responsibilities... Pants to hem, papers to grade, and cookies to bake!

Wow! Your weight loss is very inspiring! You give me hope that my own workouts 3-4 times per week will pay off.

I enjoy reading your blog and seeing what you are up to, but I totally understand that blogging takes time and effort and isn't the highest priority in life.

Wishing you continued success!

Your workout's are definately working in you favor. You look fab!

My weight's at a good place but I definately need to tone up. Problem is is I absolutely hate exercising! I try and it lasts about a week or so and gets forgotten.

Congratulations on the weight loss - I've been working on that too!

I always enjoy seeing your sewing projects - maybe when summer comes you'll have more time to share.

I love reading your blog, Kristine, and watching your weight loss progress has been inspiring. I can relate on that on so many levels. Like you, I have had the best results when my husband joins in the fun.

I've been a terrible sewing blog haunter I'm afraid, since I haven't had much to add to the community lately. I'll be sure to speak up more. I've especially enjoyed seeing the outfits you have made for The Little Princess this year.

Congratulation on your weight loss, I understand about blogging and readers not leaving a comment. When folks leave commnets it fuel our blogging effort.

Good job on shedding the weight. I wonder why you said "found" - is it related to why I don't say "lost" in hopes that the weight will stay away?

You're right about having a buddy. DH and I go the the gym 2-3 times a week. My favorite part is doing "peak 8" on the treadmill -- 90 seconds of slow, 30 seconds of very fast. I'm up to five sets at a time, using 2 mph and 5.6 mph.

You GO GIRL! You must be so proud...weight loss, oddly enough, takes time (and energy) too...you have to stay on top of everything you eat and it's like work at times. On the other note. Sometimes I don't comment because so many others have said the same thing I would say, but I'll be more inclined to put in a few words in the future.

You look fabulous and healthy and beautiful. That is quite an accomplishment and to think both of you shared the goal and results shows what two great minds can do.

I know you are working hard. We miss you and really value your blog. All the pressures will slow down after the holidays, I'm sure.

Woo-hoo!! You look great!!

I've not been commenting as much on blogs lately, and I think that has been a combination of reading blogs in reader on my iPhone (PITA to leave comments) and the fact that there are just so many great blogs out there that I get overwhelmed sometimes. I wonder if I am not the only one with this problem...
