... and She Lived Happily Ever After!

This is the last post on the prom dress, I promise!
Here are the pics that her mom sent to me, along with many thanks and much appreciation.

It was a huge success, and not only did I learn about making and fitting corsets, but my formalwear confidence increased.

And, lastly... Happy Mother's Day to all of you.  Hope you have a wonderful "Duty Free" day!

Stunning!!! They are a gorgeous group of young people but I love the photo with her friend in the blue dress, kind of point, counterpoint. Great job and happy Mother's Day to you too!

It's amazing, and she's obviously not having any trouble with it sliding down. Nice work!!

You did a lovely thing, in more than one way, raising her spirits and her confidence with that lovely dress. (Bad news is, she'll return when it is wedding dress time!)

It's such a beautiful dress! The sideview is as flattering as the front view and I especially love how rich and expensive it looks. This is even more obvious next to the other prom dresses in that photo. :P

Wonderful job on the dress; she looks confident and beautiful. The young woman is the blue dress is also as pretty as can be, but needs to stand up straight and proud also. Someone needs to keep after her, she will thank them in about 40 years. Mothers, be as big a pain in the butt as mine was, do not let your girls slouch.

The top is really quite nice. I am sure someone in the directions department really screwed up. Opening up the side seam was exactly what was needed. I may try the pattern myself now that I am forearmed.

I hate to echo what everyone else said, but it's just a gorgeous dress! I love the elegant simplicity of it . . . no need for the sparkles or gee-gaws that the other girls have on their dresses.

Perfect! So glamorous! I'm so glad this beautiful girl doesn't like the trashy looks so many of the girls are wearing to their proms these days!!!
